Perks of being a wallflower…

Just saw Perks of Being a Wallflower. Wow. Amazing movie. I must read the book. If Stephen Chbosky has written anything else, I must find it and consume more of his words! I’m still in emotional awe I think, but I will say that it’s was very powerful for me, I say in tears at the end. I love movies that make me feel like someone else understands or gets me.

So for now, I’m just going to leave a few quotes from the book (ill be sure to pick it up tomorrow and delve into it!)

When your body tells you to slow down…

20121026-181426.jpg

I woke up at 5am with the horrible nauseas feeling, you know the one, where you know you will have to throw up eventually, but you just don’t know when. Yep…complete with chills and a fever, body aches (which at first I was just convinced I was sore from yesterday’s workout). I hate being sick!

Somehow I almost convinced myself to get dressed and make it to the gym, then, dizzy and shivering, I came to my senses, crawled in bed, and decided to see what I could watch in Netflix.

It’s been a weird week and my stress has hit an all time high, so I’m not surprised my body decided to combat it with the flu. I hit an emotional all time low yesterday. Slow down, stop stressing, and sleep. It’s a bit odd because I’ve been trying to be super healthy and take my vitamins and get my workouts in…but when your body needs a break, it finds a way.

So wash your hands, eat healthy and get lots of sleep…this flu isn’t fun and I’m hoping I wake up tomorrow feeling better. Sorry for the lack of content in this blog post, but my head is a little woozy and I’m taking the day to recover. Stay healthy my friends!
